Bobby began his extended drum corps career playing baritone for the Racine Scouts (2001-2003). He then went on to march Trumpet with DCI Midwest Div III Champions, Americanos (2004), two-time DCI DIV II World Champions, East Coast Jazz (2005-2006) and Madison Scouts, where he aged out in 2007. Since then he has marched in the all-age circuit with the Kilties(2006,2008) and three-time Class A Champions, the Govenaires (2009-2011). Bobby recently has been program coordinator for Racine Scouts (2008-2010), performing twice in the corps recent history as DCI Open Class Semi-finalist under his leadership, as well as Brass and Visual instructor for the Govenaires (2011). During his drum corps career, Bobby received multiple top honors in I&E competitions; most recently, DCA Trumpet and Mellophone Individual Champion, as well as a 2nd place finish in the Baritone category.

In addition to his drum corps experience, Bobby has marched and taught 3 time WGI Regional Champion, Americanos Indoor, two-time WGI PIA World Champion, Pioneer Indoor, as well as Green Thunder Percussion, where he currently serves as the Cymbal Specialist.

Bobby studied Music Education at VanderCook College of Music and where he was a dedicatd member of the National Band Association, Music Educators National Conference and the Illinois Music Educators Association. He is currently the Owner/Designer for Bonslater Creative Designs, Colorguard and Percussion coordinator for the Marion Stamps Youth Initiative and Music/Visual Designer for De La Salle Institute, all of Chicago.
