James Doyle is an active music educator, performer and composer. He has studied at both Southwestern Oklahoma State University under the direction of Dr. David Bessinger and the University of Central Oklahoma under the direction of David Hardman and Nicholas Steward. At UCO, James has performed with many ensembles including the Marching Band, Percussion Consort, Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, and Opera. Outside of an academic setting, he has played percussion for both the Edmond Community Chorale and local theater group Summerstock Productions as well as being a member of Surround Sound Percussion.

 James currently serves as the Director and Battery Arranger of the WGI group Resistance Indoor Percussion. In addition, he acts as Percussion Instructor and Arranger for Del City High School where he has taught for the past four years. James has also instructed several other high school bands in the area including Norman, Southmoore, and Santa Fe. He has also served as battery arranger for Arkansas Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps and UCO’s “Stampede of Sound” Marching Band.

 James is a member of the Pro-Mark Education Team and proudly endorses their sticks and mallets.
